Mrs. Stirewalt's 5th grade and Mrs. Burleson's 4th grade participated in the Discovery Education Magic of Madden Virtual Field Trip. Madden, the video game developers of the popular NFL game, shared "behind the scenes" of how the game is developed, and all the different roles that go into developing the game.
The developers shared how artists, coders, designers, and actual players work together to make the game as close to real life as possible. It can take up to 5 days to develop a new player to be added to the game!
Because there are so many people involved, collaboration is a key component of a successful game. Students were surprised to hear that team work matters in the real world too!
Developers went on to share all the science and math that goes into the players moves and motions.
